About Me

My name is Lilian Jennings, a current student at South Lyon East High School (SLE) and Oakland Schools Technical Campus (OSTC). Throughout my high school career, I've been a participant in my high school theater program and on the swim & dive team. I've been a part of six plays and musicals throughout my time in the theater department, as well as being a four-year varsity swimmer.  At Oakland Schools Technical Campus, I'm enrolled in the Agriscience program. Through this program, I've gained a myriad of certifications and experience in agriculture and animal science. OSTC is a hands-on program that helps you gain experience for the workforce. I currently hold my Basic Animal Sciences Certification through ICEV and am working on my Basic Veterinary Science Certification.  Through OSTC, I'm enrolled in the FFA (Future Farmers of America) and serve as the current class historian. I've been participating in work-based learning through OSTC and at Tollgate Farms. All of these school experiences have helped build me into the person I am today. Without the two types of schools I attend, I wouldn't have developed the skills I possess today. Managing my schedule and all my responsibilities between the campuses has really benefited me in school and in the workplace. 

Outside of school, I enjoy hiking and spending time in nature. I've done dozens of hikes over the years, even traveling out of state. During these hikes, I like to identify different kinds of flowers, plants, mushrooms, etc. I also enjoy birdwatching and animal watching. I'm an avid reader and writer, loving to sit down and read or write for hours. I tend to love fantasy settings and large-scale worldbuilding. I also care for my two dogs and my leopard gecko. My two dogs are Charlie and Milo, both small. Mac (Macaroni) is my leopard gecko, whom I adopted last year. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially playing board games and video games. As someone who loves to complete things, video games give me that outlet, as well as arts and crafts.
